Out of work actresses, Candy and Jacky, are desperate to find work as they are about to be evicted from their apartment in Star Street, Wanchai for defaulting on their mortgage payments. They are brainstorming and workshopping ideas to generate income but they won’t do just anything. It must be acting and singing work worthy of their tremendous talents. They are fans of true crime and cooking shows and spend a lot of time watching them to research and find inspiration for their next great role! But when Jacky has a minor car collision with a minibus one night, and is summoned to court to be prosecuted for careless driving, she defends herself and Candy is called as her witness. Her testimony in court does not go well and unleashes a torrent of recrimination and retribution from Jacky. What lengths will she go to in the name of her art to find justice and acting work? Will Candy always be knows as Jacky’s unreliable witness?
